Shogun 2 battle realism mode

broken image

We had to balance and control what's going on so the user never loses track of what's going on.Įvery individual unit is quite clever so they don't have the traditional problem of RTS games - one little fellow gets stuck in a corner, or takes stupid routes from one side to the other. Players could have a formation with 60 men in it, and you can issue orders to that group, but every single one of those men will also do their own thing and have their own morale, objectives, and one of them could even run off the battle field and flee. The biggest achievement is the way the AI works individually for every one of those 5,000 units. ML: When most people see the game they go 'wow' because it looks amazing to have 5,000 men on screen at once. IGNPC: How challenging have you made the game's AI? Will Shogun give the player a sense of playing against a human opponent?
